Position Description
What does a great Senior Systems Support Specialist do?
In this position, you are in a dynamic, professional, customer-oriented service environment with large enterprise financial institution clients. You will provide day to day support answering technical Client Server questions and addressing complex issues that run on Windows/SQL network environments connecting to IBM iSeries. You will work closely with our Application analysts when needed to solve hosted applications or help clients via webexs. You will find opportunities to improve the client experience that will drive business results. This position provides many learning opportunities.
Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
  • You provide software installation and support services for Signature clients and internal employees.
  • You provide daily technical support for the defined Signature Client Server products/applications and work with other department personnel if needed for problem resolution, including all necessary follow up.
  • You will install and support Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012, SQL 2008/2012/2014 and IIS as it pertains to the Signature Client Server applications.
  • Under limited supervision solve, diagnose and resolve complex functional and/or operational problems.
  • Effectively communicate and raise complex issues to Product Development and other SMEs.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques, and ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical (hardware, software, application or operational) problems.
  • You will provide second level support to clients, initiates and maintains regular contact with the client base by phone or written communication through the client portal to coordinate the resolution of complex problems.
  • Ensures successful and timely completion of assigned special projects and requests.
  • You provide testing support for new Product Releases. Self- motivated individual that is eager to learn and provide support.
  • You assist in the maintenance, deployment and documentation of a lab environment for installation and product testing.
  • Adhere to Fiserv PCI standards, change control management policies, procedures and processes.
  • Document problems, technical requirements and provide on-call and after-hours support on a scheduled basis.
Required and preferred qualifications and skills for consideration:
  • 5 years' experience required, preferably supporting software and applications in a banking or financial services environment
  • Ability to work with all levels associates and managers for both internal and external customers required
  • Experience delivering customer service to B2B clients required
  • Able and willing to work varying support hours, 8am 5pm and 10am 7pm on rotating basis
  • BA or BS degree or equivalent experience is a plus
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills including ability to maintain professional presence at all times is important
  • Can you multi task and manage multiple priorities while maintaining superb attention to detail?
