Your new company HAYS collaborates with a well-established company specialising in designing and manufacturing construction industry products. We're currently seeking a Structural Engineer to join their team in Lisburn.Over the past 40 years, this company has become a market leader, operating across multiple sites in the UK and Europe. Their iconic structures and engineering excellence have been widely recognised, and they play a crucial role in delivering the UK's largest and most complex projects.

Your new role
As a Structural Engineer, you'll work alongside an established team, reporting directly to the Design Manager.
The main responsibility will be providing engineering design from tender appraisal through to construction.
Key responsibilities:

• Providing steel weight estimates and concept designs aligned with company standards and project specifications.
• Creating clear design sketches.
• Monitoring job progress within specified schedules.
• Checking drawings and structural calculations from colleagues and sub-vendors.
• Liaising with subcontractors for contracted-out structural design work.
• Utilising Master-series for structural design.
• Handling other assigned duties as needed.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in the Structural Steel Engineering role, you must have the following qualifications:

• A degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• 1-2+ years UK experience in structural engineering and 3D design.
• Proficiency in 3D analysis environments.
• Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Effective communication with foreign clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
• Knowledge of Master-series (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other software is advantageous).
• Practical technical background relevant to the position.
• Impeccable attention to detail and commitment to project completion.
