TEMP TO PERM MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT JOB BASED IN MANCHESTER CITY CENTRE

Hays are currently recruiting for a dynamic and ambitious manufacturing company based in Manchester City Centre. Our client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Management Accountant to join their team for a 6-month fixed term contract, however there is an opportunity to be made permanent.
Your new role
You will work closely with the Finance Controller, providing essential support in the preparation of management accounts. This includes assisting with both month-end and year-end duties, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
On a day-to-day basis:

Work alongside the shared services team (AP/AR/Cash) to follow through on any queries/resolutions

Balance sheet reconciliations.

Raising and posting journals

Manage prepayment entries

Involved in Month end duties (GL entries, P&L/BS movement prep)

Ensure internal controls are followed and executed

Assist and provide data for automation projects on Oracle.

VAT preparation and submission

Assist with external audit tasks

Other ad hoc tasks as per management/business needs.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be part-qualified and have previous experience in a similar role. You must be available to start at short notice. Experience working with Oracle is preferable, but not essential and good Excel skills are required. You will have a 'can do' attitude, you will be a confident communicator and have a willingness to learn.
