Solutions Architect - 6 Month Contract - Remote - Outside IR35
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Solution Architect Specialist focusing on finance for an initial 6-month contract for a long-term program.
This role will primarily involve leading the upgrade of Aptitude Software systems, with a specific focus on financial modules and Linux OS upgrades.
The successful candidate will help with the technical design, implementation, and will collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure a seamless transition during the upgrade period.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience with Application upgrades and solution project implementations, particularly in a finance-focused environment.
- Strong proficiency with Linux operating system and JBoss Application Server.
- Experience with database management systems such as Oracle or SQL Server.
Technology Proficiency:
- Linux Operating System: Proficiency in working with Linux operating systems, including system administration, Scripting, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to optimize Aptitude Software performance in a Linux environment.
- JBoss Application Server: Experience with JBoss Application Server, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Ability to deploy and manage Aptitude Software applications on JBoss Servers.
- Experience in SQL analysis and Scripting, IT administration, infrastructure support, new application deployments, and application upgrades, involving external vendor applications, internal enterprise applications, and internal Back End systems.
- Experience with Bash, Python, WinSCP, and Excel VB Macro scripts.
- Experience working with BitBucket.
- Must have an understanding of the full software life cycle (SDLC) and experience working in hybrid agile and waterfall delivery methodologies.
Nice to have:
- Aptitude Software Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in configuring, customising, and implementing Aptitude Software solutions.
Certification:
- Aptitude Software or Linux related certs
