Reporting to the Financial Controller, your main focus is to take ownership of the month-end process. This will include; balance sheet reconciliation, project and job costing, profitability analysis and reviewing the invoice finance facility. You will also process journals (including payroll), accruals and prepayments as well as supporting the finance team. Your key responsibility will be to present a set of monthly management accounts including commentary, for example; variances, budget verse actual (having investigated any anomalies) and articulating this in the monthly pack to the FC. You will continue to improve systems and procedures inline with any projects etc.

What you'll need to succeed
With a recent track record in management accounting already, it is likely you will be studying your professional ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent experience, offering strong IT skills in accounting packages as well as Excel, including data manipulation, V-Looks ups and Pivot Tables. You will be able to demonstrate a professional manner offering strong attention to detail and able to work to strict deadlines. A personable, friendly and team-orientated approach is essential, along with a desire to take on new tasks and responsibilities.
